No tool can ever determine which keywords are more competitive, or less competitive. Suppose, you use the two best tools (Google Keyword Planner and Ahrefs) for keyword research, but the problem is that neither of these two tools shows the real thing, or is not possible to show.
You can use SEMrush and Longtail Pro in addition to these two tools, working with an average result in a combination of these four tools will hopefully get better results. Because, I also got keywords that have less keyword difficulty but more in reality, again keyword difficulty more but less in reality. So you have to work based on trial and error.
And nowadays you can't stop just by doing keyword research, you have to do computer research, it can be called a great sacrifice. I guess you have an idea about this, there are many videos about it on YouTube, you can watch them if you want, or you can message me if you don't understand anything.
